Book An AppointmentBook An AppointmentBook An AppointmentBook An AppointmentShingles is an infection that causes a painful rash. It is typically found on your chest and tummy, but it can appear anywhere on your body, including your face, eyes and genitals. Shingles is caused by the varicella-zoster virus, which also causes chickenpox. Early diagnosis is key to treating shingles, so if you’ve not had chicken pox before and you’ve been around someone with chicken pox then you should seek medical advice.
You can now use the Pharmacy First scheme if you need treatment to help manage shingles, so you don’t need to see a GP – book a free consultation.
